Anniversary of Jimi Hendix death - 09/18/1970

Jimi Hendrix left this world 40 years ago today.

He was only 27 years old and was still getting better. While mostly known for his phenomenal guitar playing, Jimi was also a great songwriter, producer and composer.

Had he lived longer, a lot more people would have come to know his amazing musical talents (and not just his pop hits, hey joe, purple haze, etc).
